History

Located in a natural landscape of great beauty, the Historical Thermal Spa of Caldas de Partovia is one of the most recognized areas of Thermal Galicia. For centuries, the thermal spa has received thousands of visitors who seek to benefit from the extraordinary qualities of its waters, with surprising results according to the cures that have been medically documented since the early nineteenth century. The thermal spa of Partovia embodies the essence of the concept of the thermal spa, a place of rest, health, leisure and well-being, where the visitor feels an integral part of it from the outset. We seek a mental and physical balance, with our main tool being the warm, blue waters that rise generously in this land, together with a magnificent building and a personal treatment that seeks perfection. The thermal spa reopened on April 7, 2017.

Visit to Cea

Balneario de Caldas de Partovia

Leaving O Carballiño on the Ourense-Santiago road, visitors reach the municipality of Cea, where they can admire the Cistercian Monastery of Santa María de Oseira, also known as "the Galician Escorial", which dates from the 12th century and represents the first Cistercian monastery to be founded in Galicia.

In the same location, visitors can taste the delicious Cea bread, a product with a protected geographical indication, whose tradition comes from the monks of Oseira. Today the bakery is still the main agricultural and industrial activity in the municipality, with more than twenty bakeries producing this famous product. For several years now there has been a festival to celebrate the bread in the month of July.
